The Light began life as an IT support company to the creative industry. Over the last 10 years a lot has changed and most small business don’t actually need day-to-day IT support - they need a company that can help them to navigate the constantly changing technological landscape. They want to know how tech can make running their business easier.
When we first talked about branding their new proposition, The Light were keen to move away from tech imagery and styling; They wanted to focus on the brighter future offered by technology and communication, not the science behind it. They also wanted to emphasise partnership and move away from the reactionary nature of traditional IT Support (“Have you tried turning it off and on again?!”)
ATTFIELD created the Prism Spark to capture the dynamic nature of The Light’s proposition. The spark is made up of three semi-transparent Ls overlaid to suggest partnership and the multiple possibilities that technology can offer. The three core colours that we choose for the Ls represent: brighter future (yellow), partnership (magenta) and trust (blue). The overlaid colours of the Prism Spark also form the basis of The Light’s visual language which we expanded to create icons and banners for their website and presentations.
