HELPING A SMALL CHARITY TO BALANCE NEURODIVERSITY WITH BIODIVERSITY
Brand Identity, Copywriting, Illustration, Signage, Website Design & Stationery
Withywood is a new Somerset charity based in the huge walled garden of an old stately home. Founder Phaedra Politis, her daughter and a team of volunteers, have transformed the, previously heavily overgrown, space into an oasis for neurodivergent adults to come and garden - horticultural therapy if you will! Future plans also include an outside kitchen where members will learn to cook ingredients grown at Withywood.
For the brand identity ATTFIELD wanted to weave together biodiversity and neurodiversity to create something special and compelling. Withywood means “Willow Wood” so willow branches also needed to appear. The final brand W mnemonic combines plants, vegetables, fruit, chickens (very much part of the Withywood family!) and small creatures with elements that allude to the senses, seasons and cooking - these were designed to be discoverable - interestingly some are more visible than others, depending on your perspective. Can you spot them?
